August Wrap-Up

Yet another month has gone by, but I am not here to complain over how quick the year is going, I am here to discuss what books I read in August! August was an OK reading month, a bit slower than July but I still managed to read around 10 books. Want to know what I read, let's get started... Number 1: Night Owls by Jenn Bennett This was a very entertaining read and was one of my favourite books of the year. The relationship between Jack and Beatrix was very raw and was not one of instant love which is a trope that I dislike. The rest of the characters were really well put together and were really enjoyable. I really enjoyed the writing and the plot and the use of mental health in this novel was done were well.  Number 2: The Stereotypical Freaks by Howard Shapiro This was a very different graphic novel for me as the ones that I had previously read tend to be sci-fi fantasy and this was contemporary. I really enjoyed it was the characters we...

Coffee Book Tag

I saw this tag on youtube and I thought it looked like fun. The book tag is the Coffee Book Tag in which you link coffee to books and let's face it I love coffee and books so this is the ideal tag for me. This tag was created by BangadyBangz  so you can see the original video idea there. Let's get started... 1. Black: Name a series that's tough to get into but has hardcore fans. Fallen by Lauren Kate - I have little interest in reading this series and it is definitely one that has hardcore fans especially because the film is coming out. The fact is that I don't read a lot of paranormal romance so it is tough to get into for me but I want to see the movie so I will try to get to the book.  2. Peppermint mocha:  Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year. Harry Potter series  by J.K Rowling - I don't know why but this series does seem to get more popular as the year progresses maybe it...

I have around 30 books that I am going to take with me as I hope this can get me through to Christmas. As there are a lot of books I am just going to say what they are but you can find information on the books as the goodreads link will be left. So let's get started... 1. I Was Here by Gayle Foreman  2. Half Wild by Sally Green  3. The Ask and The Answer and Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness                                           4. The Almost King by Lucy Saxon 5. The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin  6. Drop by Katie Everson  7. Sister's Red by Jackson Pearce 8. Seed by Lisa Heathfie...

Thursday Tracks: Let It Go by James Bay

So I know that I run a book blog but I saw this feature on  Gone With The Words  and thought it would be interesting to tell you about my music tastes with the  Thursday Tracks  feature. So let's get started... The song that I am going to talk about this week is... Let It Go by James Bay I have been a massive fan of James Bay for a while and he is well known in the UK for his music but I don't know if it is known worldwide. So I will leave you with my favourite one. Hope you enjoy this song! What is your favourite song at the moment? Leave them in the comment below. See you soon,  Amy

Top 5 Wedneday: Series You Wish Had More Books

It’s Wednesday so that means that it’s Top 5 Wednesday and this  week’s  topic is series you wish had more books. To find more about Top 5 Wednesday’s you can join the  goodreads group  and discover the creator of the group  Lainey . So let’s get started… Number 5: The Host by Stephenie Meyer Unlike Twilight, The Host is a good story and book in which there are meant to be more books on the series, however I doubt more books will ever be written. Meyer has continuously pushed back the release date to further books so I guess the Host will remain a standalone. Number 4: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green   I have always had this theory that John Green left the Fault In Our Stars just like the An Imperial Affliction, you don't know what happens to the characters at the end of TFiOS or AIA, meaning that I don't believe a sequel will ever be on the cards. If a sequel was to happen I would love the book to be from Isaac's POV though...
