Yet another month has gone by, but I am not here to complain over how quick the year is going, I am here to discuss what books I read in August! August was an OK reading month, a bit slower than July but I still managed to read around 10 books. Want to know what I read, let's get started... Number 1: Night Owls by Jenn Bennett This was a very entertaining read and was one of my favourite books of the year. The relationship between Jack and Beatrix was very raw and was not one of instant love which is a trope that I dislike. The rest of the characters were really well put together and were really enjoyable. I really enjoyed the writing and the plot and the use of mental health in this novel was done were well.  Number 2: The Stereotypical Freaks by Howard Shapiro This was a very different graphic novel for me as the ones that I had previously read tend to be sci-fi fantasy and this was contemporary. Fallen by Lauren Kate - I have little interest in reading this series and it is definitely one that has hardcore fans especially because the film is coming out. So this time next month I will be on my last preparations to go to university and being a book blogger the books I am going to take with me are very important, meaning I have given a lot of thought into the books I am going to take. I have around 30 books that I am going to take with me as I hope this can get me through to Christmas. So I know that I run a book blog but I saw this feature on  Gone With The Words  and thought it would be interesting to tell you about my music tastes with the  Thursday Tracks  feature. Let It Go by James Bay I have been a massive fan of James Bay for a while and he is well known in the UK for his music but I don't know if it is known worldwide. It’s Wednesday so that means that it’s Top 5 Wednesday and this  week’s  topic is series you wish had more books. So let’s get started… Number 5: The Host by Stephenie Meyer Unlike Twilight, The Host is a good story and book in which there are meant to be more books on the series, however I doubt more books will ever be written. Meyer has continuously pushed back the release date to further books so I guess the Host will remain a standalone. Number 4: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green   I have always had this theory that John Green left the Fault In Our Stars just like the An Imperial Affliction, you don't know what happens to the characters at the end of TFiOS or AIA, meaning that I don't believe a sequel will ever be on the cards. If a sequel was to happen I would love the book to be from Isaac's POV though...
