About Amy Hello, I'm Amy, an aspiring motorsports writer and former blogger. If you dig deeper enough, you find some very old blog posts, as this started as a book blog, but that's really where I got my start in writing: book reviews, hot book topics and as well as the odd personal essay. After leaving university, I left the book blog behind, but continued writing and going in the world of social media, writing film reviews and promoting queer cinema, but after a tragic event in my personal life, I quickly discovered Motorsports. What started as a love for Formula 1, while finally watching the Formula 1 film, Rush, and discovering Formula 1 TikTok, this love soon expanded to everything Formula E, IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3, as well as F1 Academy. This book is a great way to get into to almost adult fiction. It has been a hugely popular book for a while now on booktube but in general after a film was made a couple of years ago. It is also one of my favourite books so is worth a read!
This book is often considered to be both YA and adult so therefore it is a good gateway book especially if you really fantasy books.
Being a combination of non-fiction and fiction stories, The Opposite of Loneliness is a wonderful book that deserves to be read by everyone and is just a great book. It has a youthful tone which definitely bridges the gap between adult and YA.
I love this graphic novel and it often has a YA writing style that is quite different to others of this genre so is great for those who want to try a new genre.
When I first started to read this book, I honest thought that it has a similar tone to those of John Green so is the perfect book for anyone who wants to read more classics.
What are some of your gateway books? Leave them in the comments below.
See you soon,
Amy
